The IT association has demanded IT industry status. If they get industry status then IT companies will get many benefits from the government, which are getting the industries. The GR with more details will be released shortly by the state government and it will be formally announced how it will be benefited.
An industry official said that IT benefits can be given to industrial benefits like land allotment or power subsidy in GIDC. The leaders of state IT companies expressed the opinion that due to this decision the focus on this industry will increase. Like in the Central Government, the tourism industry benefits both of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
Similarly, the hotel industry, which also comes in service industries, is covered by the government's policy benefits. Thus, the benefits of this kind of benefit to the IT-ITES of Gujarat will also increase the industry.
State Industry Department sources said that the state government has informed the ITIs to get the status of industry by writing a letter to Ghiyasia. In this letter, the Land Revenue Code, LR and Town Planning Act, Gujarat Municipal Corporation Act will be linked.
